just a quick question, remember last year around september i believe
that it was the company increased your percentage, changed your deadhead mileage, and said they were paying a percentage of your tolls.
I remember operators were saying that they would possibly lose money.
Can any of you let me know how this worked out being i left and went to try another company the month this came into effect.Meaning did you all in fact lose money in this deal or gain anything.

I am surprised that zero replies were offered to the question. With all the hoopla that preceeded the change, I thought more people would have had more to say about it now.

Personally, I lost interest in the question a few runs into FedEx's new compensation schedule. It did not appear to be doing us any harm and I know of no better carrier choice out there than the one we are happy with now.

There would be little to say if they have already left.

My load acceptance went down also. I think most of the people who were real PO'd might have moved to another company.

I have not noticed a big change in the pay with any of our trucks. We are alot more choosier in the loads that we accept now than we were before. We also choose our own call centers, which has kept our deadheading down considerably. Getting a partial amount of the tolls back has been a big help, but we have quickly learned that not all the customers are being charged , thus reflecting back onto us owners. Even if we have to go onto toll roads, we don't always get toll $$$$$ back if it's one of Fed Ex's 'special' customers who don't get charged tolls.

A big change with Fed Ex has been the new style settlement sheet. It's so much easier to read and understand now.
