FECC new system

I know change is scary, but with all the negativity my post from yesturday has shown,no wander most of you complain about not making enough money. We all would like to have a perfect load everytime, there wouldnt be any turn downs, but its never going to be that way.If your on a flat rate system(paid all miles)then its a little easier to figure, you just have to run a lot of miles, but look,if you turn down a couple loads today, and thats all thats offered, the next day your under the gun,and you have to take a longer load to catch up,so now your 2 days with no load. Then you write is it slow, well no,you just are waiting for that special load that hasnt come.If your on percentage, this can happen too, except the short loads pay more, and by doing them they all add up.I did 157 loads last year, were they all long,NO,were they short, some yes,but they all add up to a lot of money. This is a business, you must remain positive,if not,oh well it must be slow.Is anyone slow?No just waiting.Remind you of anyone?

When we first hear of change we get upset and worry, then we look at all of the negatives. After we get through that we start looking at the positives and realize without change we would become stagnant and behind the times. To us new ways of doing the same old job present a new challenges and new opportunities. We will make the best of this new system and do our best to make it work for us.

Since we don't have our own forum, this is the only way we can get our views out on a topic. But since it was thrown into the General Forum, it's open for interpretation. Personally, E1 has a lot of things they need to change, last of which is the method that they use to dispatch, it works OK.

I'm not sure that the creation of the company forums is to limit the participation of such to only those leased to/driving for any particular company. Last time I checked, we were all free to roam and comment wherever! JMO, of course.;)

Oh man here we go again. Last time I checked the only FedEx Forum was in Memphis. When they were building it my step dad was working as a union electrician and he was the lead foreman over the wiring over the place. From the simple lights and receptacles to the big jumbotron thingy. It's a pretty cool place. My wife and I went there and watched a really good set of boxing matches one night.

Plus did you know in Ancient Greece a Forum was actually a marketplace? Learned that in my Western Civilazation 1 class. How do you like me know?

The thread is called FECC new system, but the post is about being willing to work. I really wonder if any of the Prima Donnas are ever successful? If someone finds enough reasons to say "no" to freight, failure is sure to not be far away.

Hi All,
When Linda and I ran our embroidery biz we specialized in custom designed garments
for companies with less than 50 employes. And we loved the mom and pop bizs. Why? They
would pay more for a custom garment than a business that would order 1000 pieces.
BUT, when we had an opening in production and a customer called with a low paying job,
we filled our production schedule. We hated running low dollar jobs. But, when the check came in, all was good.
Not every dispatch will be a home run. We rely on keeping busy running and let the big ones
come when they come. It only takes 4 or 5 good runs to put a month of small runs into
a respectable settlement.
