No way the draw on the unit would kill it in 3 hours. It is like leaving a cell phone charging.

I had them change mine to 1 hr. You can just call the shop, they just send it to the qc as an update.I made the mistake of leaving the QC unit plugged in over the weekend only to find a dead battery. I keep meaning to check with the shop to see if the setting can be changed. It's currently set to stay on for 3 hrs before shutting down. With having only one battery that's a little long to stay running. Maybe now I'll remember to ask Thankfully, I had already bought a portable jump start battery that has already paid for itself, and also helped out a cat cargo van driver last year
