Scott is on a roll today!!! lol...

Washed the van.
Changed the oil on the van.
Changed the oil on the generator.
took a shower.
Washed clothes.
Topped off the gas tank.

Ready to go.

Time for a nap.

Getting better.

Hoping for a load this weekend.

That next load this weekend will determine whether or not I have money for my doctors appt next week...

I had a shower. A bathtub is needed for a bath. And I am at the yard. No bathtub here. lol...

Rambo- either if I get down in the warmer climate, I will give him one, or if I am able to go home next week, then either Petsmart, where 22 year old Brittany loves taking care of him, will get him all nice and clean, or I will do it myself, we'll see.

I know one thing- when I pick him up from Petsmart, he is a totally different dog for awile. Makes me wonder.....

I remember not long ago when everyone was noting the much lower number of auto loads that were being hauled? Also the fact that they hadn't been seeing Taylor nearly as often? LOL. We have seen the slow down across all divisions, even specialized. I honestly think it had a lot to do with Washington running the fiscal cliff to the last minute and failing to pass business tax codes before the year started. I think it spooked a lot of companies and hurt the recovery.

As for going past the current 48 states we service......not sure on that one, lol. I don't think they expedite via ferry to Hawaii but that would be cool!

As for Canada 80% of the fleet doesn't want to, can't or wont go??? I think that includes the Canadian that suggested it. Right now it is just Ontario (which is kind of like another state :)

On the upside....last weeks average revenue per unit numbers saw a decent upward movement. First time we had seen that in weeks. Still tough out there. Lot of our competitors are laying off staff and other things to cut costs. We have not done that as I worry it would impact the ability to get freight.

I have noticed an increase in non-automotive loads for me, and don't mind it at all. Actually, just so it keeps me moving and making me money I really don't care what kind of loads they are. As long as they are not hazardous. At least in a van.
