I don't trust an oil change stooge to use the proper oil or the correct amount. I have a Fumoto valve so stripping the drain plug has been eliminated. Maybe I should try your method and buy my own oil and filter and have someone do it. These Transits with the EcoBlaster are a mess to change the oil. The filter is difficult to get at and oil ends up all over a crossmember and some type of pipe.I don't do mine anymore. My situation works out well. I purchase oil and filter. Take to oil change place and they drain old oil through the fumoto valve. The manager is the one who puts oil back in and knows exactly where on the oil stick the level should be. I still run the oil level check through the computer just to make sure level is correct before I leave. Only had to remove a bit of oil one time when they first started, hence the computer level check. Oil filter and oil changed for $20 labor. Plus the air and cabin filter get changed every other oil change unless it is needed sooner. No extra charge for that extra service. Not too shabby in my book.I don't trust an oil change stooge to use the proper oil or the correct amount. I have a Fumoto valve so stripping the drain plug has been eliminated. That garlic smell must be gone. Need to get a garlic fix? Someone is a glutton for punishment. Lol.Leaving Las Vegas, dropping into Mailers territory and try his pond Thursday morning.
