Hey Pel depends on where we are, lack of rain in Tenn this year left our leaves a little less than spectacular this year..

Haven't been to FCF in over 2 years, Cyn and I set out to Rock Island on the bike and just made it as far as Old stone Fort..
I will probably make it later this year to do some B&W at the falls so if around Christmas give me a shout..

Going up the mountain just after exiting at Snow Shoe, PA.

Hmmmm. I wonder why they call this place Snow Shoe?

Oh yeah! At this elevation there is snow.

I went from 68 degrees near Philadelphia to this in about 4 hours. The roads were perfectly dry so it made the trip really nice.

After delivering to a bridge project in Driftwood, PA (look that one up on your maps) I came down the other side of the mountain. I was stopped behind a State Trooper who had the road blocked due to an accident. While talking with me I told him about the road I had traveled to get to Driftwood. He said, "Don't ever come down it in the winter, because you will slide right off into the ditch....or down the side of the mountain." I thanked him for his advice.

Well, I wish my photo skills and equipment were up to what some of you have (Santa?)...

But here's one where we spent Saturday.... it was a lane leading to Squirrel Lake Wildlife Habitat in Charlotte.

Colors were beautiful this weekend in NC.
