Extranet problems

Okay, 2 weeks now and I haven't been able to access the oo extranet site.
I do not get the "Internal Server Error" as descibed in the previous thread. I just get that little security sign in box popping up over and over.
The one that says:

"The server oo.blue.fedex.com at :Username = Security # - Password = PIN requires a username and password."

Is there a good phone number to call and actually get some help with this problem?

Anyone else with the same problem??

Did you go through the process to get your new password/pin a few weeks ago? I don't remember it now but it walked me through the process. I don't like having to get an arbitrary pw instead of using my own but that's it now. If you already did that then I don't know what to suggest. Good luck.

Yes,
I've tried using the new assigned complicated password and I am getting nowhere.
I guess it is just me so I will try to locate the FECC Geek Squad in IT Monday.

Thanks

Where will you start to try and figure this one out or to get to talk to someone in IT? The only place I could think of to start would be with our CC and then have them get us in contact with the right person. Interesting problem and I hope you let us know how you work it out and what the problem is.

I have only had one experience with the elusive IT department.

We were passed over for a load by the opportunity system. It went to the guy parked next to us. We could not figure out why so we contacted our CC. After our CC went through the list of all of the secret criteria, she determined that the computer must have made a mistake?
She said that there was nothing that could be done to change the mistake; however, we could send the case to the IT department for review. At least they could correct the problem to prevent this from happening again in the future.
We waited for one week and then called our CC to find out what the problem had been. Curiosity was killing us. We were told that IT was not accepting any more cases because it was too inundated with them. Case closed.

That is the only reason that I think that there is an IT department, but I have never talked to them. I will try the CC again.

There is indeed an IT dept. The occupy the 3rd floor at the palace in Green. Considering that FedEx develops its own software and does not buy anything "off the shelf" my guess is the dept is quite sizable.

As for talking to them directly? IT people don't know how to communicate with humans as they tend to scurry around in rooms only lit by the light of a monitor and soothed with the sounds of fans cooling servers and such. Human contact is about as scary as a system that works flawlessly making them redundant.;)

I would try to get another password through the vru and if that doesn't work, then talk to the cc.

Humble, are you getting the securtiy password box after you first sign on? I mean after you get the first one that allows the main page to open? I get that from time to time and have found that if I just close the next password box and any others that might pop up thereafter. I still manage to get online, I don't know if this will help you but I sure hope so! Good Luck!

I haven't even had a peek at that front page for weeks. Can you descibe it to me?:D

I know what you are talking about. Back in the days when I could actually get on the extranet that box would keep popping up and I would close it and move on.

Sorry that's the only help I have. Wish it would have been that simple of a fix.

Problem solved!

I noticed that each time I called the VRU to hear my password it was a different password, so I kept calling back until I got one that worked. Go figure.

Thanks for the suggestions.

We just received the dreaded message that our passwords are about to expire. Came over phone as paperwork due and I thought what the heck? Looked on Extranet and it is passwords have to be changed. Hope to heck this time I can understand it as easy as I did last time!

Glad you figured out your problem humble2drive
