Cash rebate cards are another ways to earn steady income.

I was fortunate enough to get a hold of the old version of priceline rewards card. 2 points cash rewards on all purchases(so far), no expiration, no limits, no annual fees. I used it pretty much on every purchase.

That's about $140 cash rewards a month :)

A different twist to extra income .....doing some things yourself like cooking or small maintenance or repair. .. Money saved is Money earned

I used a rough estimate of $7.50 a meal. So everytime you make a sandwich out of your fridge or cooler write down 7.50 in savings in your notebook. 3 meals a day X 7 X 7.50 = $157.50. Now I know not every meal will be eaten from a cooler, but hey,,it adds up over a month,,,did not add the tip for each meal. You just may save 75 bucks a week easy by eating out of your cooler...

Impulse items: add 30 bucks a month easily, most likely its a 100 bucks a month,,,write them down.

Stop smoking: a pack a day is an IRA , at the end of the year...your retirement up in smoke is no joke. 365 days a year X $5.00/pk = $1,825.00

Simple is it not....U can save over $5,000 a year on just little things.

These are but a few items that can make the difference in cash flow in your favor.

Use reward points wisely. Let them build up for useful things, unexpected things that come up. Like when a headlamp goes out, they are much cheaper just about anywhere other than a truck stop, but points used can get you rolling, safely, quicker during a fuel stop than looking for a Walmart. Maybe it is a broken antenna, phone charger, straps, clamps, marker lights, taillights, a new Bluetooth headset or even a new GPS or CB, points add up and when something breaks, it doesn't hurt the wallet as much to use your points.
