We are looking for information and opinions about Express-1. We are being forced to leave our current company and are seeking a new company to lease on with. We are team drivers and owner/operators of a straight truck. We have been driving for a few years now and like expediting. I'm hoping to find some nice people to work with. Thanks for your help.

I can appreciate your curiosity, however, I need info on Express-1. When I find a new company to lease with I will post the entire story of this thrilling epic debacle.

Thanx..I can live with that...

Express-1 Teams seem to be doing ok...some better then others...of course they just bought First Class Expedite hopefullt that will help some...for the most part the teams seem happy...dispatch is very easy to work with...I run a Sprinter for them for the last 20 months

Got friends that run a straight truck with Express 1. They like them well enough. Always trying to talk us into going over with them (we kinda like it where we are with T-State). Got to say they have been runing rings around us with miles, don't know if they might be stretchen it or not but they told us they got 5000 miles couple weeks back and they been averaging 3000 to 3500 a week. More than what we have. (course I think things are going to liven up at T-State anytime now and we might be running some circles around them, you never can tell. Goes back and forth, when we were running real good they were sitting).

Now that 3state is at least 15 trucks less...you should be busier

Can't speak for team straight trucks, however, I can speak about dispatch(load planning) and settlements.

The load planning gals are great to work with as long as your not a @#$%. As for settlements I have, in 15mos., never had a problem. You will get paid everything and sometimes more then what they tell you as long as you get your trip pak in on a timely mannor.

You WILL get paid what you run. They won't play with your money.
Be nice to Gina, Jenny and Rick and they'll keep you going...

hee hee hee That's how many team trucks was pulled after the 1.05 rate reduction went into affect. hee hee hee Jeez, guess they just don't understand T-State is trying to generate us some business! Like I've said before, "I'd rather have 3000 miles at 1.05 then 300 miles at a 1.20! Why you ask, cause like I said before "I'm so greedy" hee hee hee :D

P.S. since I'm already making this post, I got to say this again, I was just reading another thread where the driver was complaining they had been sitting for 200 hours, why? That is 2 weeks! Why on earth would you sit that long without actively moving to seek out a load? Ok, gooooo ahead folks! Let me have it! :D

buckeye, happy to see yer amongst the thinkin about the evolution of this biz.

now, i'v been told as of the other day for the hunert first time by a fella by name of mikey, that I know nuth'in bout this business.

Butt, if I were going to get in this business again, I would certainly put Express-1 on my real "short" list. I would do that regardless if a team or single.

This decision is based on a number of years working with ALL the organizations we know of in the business.

roflmao! Yeah, a little non-cdl straight truck is gonna make the team 1600.00 a week! :D LOL NOT! Get real, if we're all being honest and your driving a truck owned by someone else, cdl or non cdl, your not clearing 1600.00 a week right now. If ya say ya are I say your fibbing hogwash! Least ya aren't making a clear 1600.00 a week, maybe before fuel and expenses! hee hee hee! As a team in a cdl straight truck we made 40/60, we don't pay anything, truck owner pays it all (and great truck owner he is too everythings always paid on time to the penny, makes a real difference), our pay check this week will be 882.00 and next week (cause of week hold back by T-State) will be 1400.00. Things only just picking up, was even worse. Got to go with the flow, gonna be bad days, weeks, months, and gonna be good days, weeks, months! Got to see this business as a whole, not day to day. If you dwell on the day to day instead of the overall flow you'll end up like a lot of other teams dropping out and running home with your tail between your legs like some whupped little cur! And folks that's a fact!:D
