yep,sittin up here in a blizzard right now, a run down to Laredo wouldnt hurt my feelings ...preferably with legal cargo 
As outrageous as this sounds - it appears that an independent driver may have been involved in some kind of illegal activity in Texas. All the details are not in yet - but needless to say this kind of alleged activity has not only resulted in this person having their lease canceled- it may also result in a long prison stay for that person.
I know the founders, managers and staff at Express-1 on a first name basis - and they are salt of the earth folks who have the highest integrity in this industry.
I also caution everyone to use a little discretion when making statements about this or other issues like this when an independent driver does something stupid and illegal -with a company's logo on their truck.[/h1]

I can assure you that you will be losing whatever number of bucks you choose to bet. Express-1 is a top drawer company run by an excellent group of individuals. Even if that were not the case you don't risk losing a multi-million dollar company for a few hundred thousand dollars. One might risk a few hundred thousand dollar company for a multi-million dollar payoff if they were cut from that type cloth but I assure you the management of Express-1 isn't. I know those people personally and make that statement without reservation. Express-1 is on my short list of recommened companies in large part because of the quality of the management. Just because company signage is on the truck doesn't mean the company endorses or approves of 100% of what goes on with that truck.

I wasnt implying that the company would have any knowledge of anything evgen remotely similar to this. All I was trying to say was that it would be possible for one of those warehouses down there to mastermind the whole deal without the driver's or the company's knowledge. Theres a lot of funny stuff happening on that border. Again I reitterate that I wasnt implying that any expediting company had anything to do with this, it never even occured to me, that was a possibility, honestly.

You are right that it could be done with nobody's knowledge. I should have thought about all the ways it could be done rather than just replying with what I know about X1. I do believe you could also win a huge pile of dollars if it were other companies involved but X1 isn't one of them. On a side note I think Charlotte is going to have decals to remove off an auction truck one of these days.

This was a T-300 and yes the driver will be behind bars for a long long time. This truck was in Mexico and stopped at the border with all of the illegals inside.
How do I know?
My old truck a T-3 was down there and he joked to me about another driver he had crossed the border with thinking it was this truck (my old truck being a T-3 and all). He was shown the news article with a picture of the truck and the news article.
This truck was carrying over 10 illegals in the box trying to cross back into the US. Betcha he wished he would have turned that load down. Also the truck is now being siezed with no possible way of the owner of it retrieving it, so there might be a bargin at auction. Howd ya like to have this guy as your DRIVER, no wonder I gave up ownership talk about a loss.
PS this also holds true in Detroit, no matter who owns a vehicle get caught pickin up a prositute the car becomes property of the city and is sold to highest bidder. There was a case where a guy did this in his X-wifes car and she lost in court trying to prove her case. Even the rental car companies loose in this case the way the law works.
