Expo BBQ

The grill is packed and secured. The charcoal is in the truck. So is the lighter, the grilling toys, the lighter fluid, the cooler with cold beverages, the chairs and the table. We will be making the potato salad this evening. WE BE READY!!

Seeing how this is my first attempt at posting I would like to thank you for all the good food and conversation. It's going to take some time before I can remember or identify all of you but you are quite a bunch. I would like to espically thank that young lady that allowed me to put my name on her truck as one who Proudly served his country. Thanks again for a great time.

Just so you all know Mayfield Express is having a Pig Roast Sept 11, 2010 at our home in Seville, Ohio. We are planning to have Ice cold Beer and some great food. If you want to come please send me a message. We have a lake to swim in to cool off as it is hot in Ohio still.

The BBQ was a HUGE Success! Bigger than expected and hotter than expected. The attendance was phenomenal even in the heat.

Jeanie did an amazing job of organizing this event.

The cooks did a great job - Layoutshooter and wife, Maniac and wife, Susie, OVM jumped in and helped and there were many others involved as the pictures will show.

Thanks to Sharon for the use of their reefer!

From the reviews I heard everyone had a great time and they expect the BBQ to be even bigger and better next year!

Thanks to all the vendors who saw a need for an item and stepped in and donated.

Thanks to EVERYONE who brought a side dish, appetizer, and desert to the BBQ. There was tons and tons of food! The Buttermilk Pie was a huge success as many enjoyed finally getting to taste this. I did not have to call 911 for any sugar rushes so that was good.

Organizing? Organizing? It was perfect mayhem! Perfect because the GRILLERS made sure everyone had plenty to eat.

Planning is underway for next year. A separate tent for the grills and a larger tent for the eaters are in the plans already.
All suggestions and volunteers are welcome. As OVM will testify, if we're short on volunteers we do resort to drafting people.

There was a moment of total mayhem but we made it with alot of peoples help..it was a TEAM effort...Great going gang!!!

Well gee whillikers! I'm smart AND well dressed...guess if I don't ever show up there's always going to be that mystique...*l*

Let's see....I did have my straw cowboy hat on and shorts and a tee shirt when I mowed the south 40 today....and oh yeah...can't forget the flip flops! And I"ve got one He!! of a good farmers tan going on too...
