Expo BBQ

This is it, your official unofficial invitation to the Annual Expediters Expo Bar B Que. If you don’t receive this, you are still invited.
On Saturday evening, after the show, there will be a free-for-all (no, not a brawl) gathering intended to include all attendees, vendors, and strays.
EO will provide a tent, burgers, brauts, hotdogs, and buns. They are even bringing condiments, plates, and forks. We welcome grills and grillers. If you would like to contribute, we have come up with some ways you can help out.

Portable buffet tables, also known as lift gates
Generator power for hot side dishes
Side dishes
Salads
Chips
Salsa, or any other dance steps
Appetizers
Carl’s Seasoning (hint-hint)
You provide potatoes, we'll serve up fried taters
Desserts
Secret family recipes
Good company and conversation
Extra seating
Clean up crew
We might ask for the use of a reefer, a donation bucket for the fuel cost would be set out.

Jenny will be making a couple big ol pots of her mac and cheese.

I will bring extra extension cords for connecting the hot dishes to the generators, and if we can get home I will pick up a couple of power strips.

We have one extra chair that we can share.

How could I have forgotten to mention that EO is also providing us with Porta-Johns and trash receptacles this year. Aren't we going to be uptown?

I usually go to the 31W Dixie Hwy location down on the southwest corner of Louisville but they have 4 locations including one just across the river at exit 2 or 4 I think. It's Mark's Feed Store BBQ.

Hard to believe this weekend I will go shopping to make the fruit salad. I might have to make a pistachio salad which is Bob's favorite.

Basic Recipe:

Ingredients

1 (3.4 ounce) package instant pistachio pudding mix
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, with juice
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Oh, yeah, like that's not a 911 sugar attack?

Layoutshooter is bringing a large grill that will be available for those that want to bring a grill food, but don't have their own grill. So those of you that like grilled peppers, corn on the cob, sauteed zucchini, any of those other favorites have at 'er.
I'll be making the layered nacho dip.
