It's real bad when a company lets you sit (could be for days)and wait for a load. And you can see there still adding more trucks, with the same story we were told. When rules are stated and the co. and O/O/driver agree to the rules (contract) why do the O/O/drivers have to keep there side and the co. can change there side whenever is makes them more money or makes there job easy? When freight is good everyone makes money and most loads are covered because we drivers know we can get going again, soon to make up for the "junk" load. But when freight is down we are expected to take "junk" loads and be happy we got something. That's crap! If the co. is making money we drivers should be too. Most of us need around $1000/wk to make it out here and when you go 2,3,4 or 5 wks. with only $300-$700 it's no wonder why we refuse the "junk" loads, we can't live on that money and adding the costs of being on the road to wait for another load "kills" us and it ends up costing us more to move there freight than we make on the load. BUT the co. still makes there profit. The co's need to understand, there we always be freight, but if you don't take care iv your drivers you can't move freight. I understand there idea that if a driver quits there will be 5 or 10 more in line to take there place. OK, that may work for now but sooner or later even that endless line of trucks to sign on will dry up, then what? We are not asking you to loose money, why do you expect us too??
