I had a quick chat with Paul at ES - here are some of your questions answered.
What’s the purpose or mission of your Event?
The purpose of the Egg is to enhance what we do every day of the week! To make drivers owners and make owners fleet owners! The EGG is intended to supplement, or add to the normal flow of successful ownership growth for the Expedite Industry. To date, Expediter Management Services has 115 owner operators with fleet owners of up to 9 units. All growth for our carrier partners.
Will there be trucks on site and available for sale?
Yes, we expect to have 8-10 tractors from 3 dealers here. Also, we have 8-10 expedite straight trucks committed to be here, both new and used, surface and refrigerated.
Can a fleet owner buy multiple units at the EGG?
Absolutely, while we will not have multiple units here with similar mileage, we would expect that there could be from 3 to as many as 10 units available for purchasing at the mileage specs being requested.
Could someone buy a new customized refrigerated unit at the EGG?
No, however, we can assist in ordering customized units with our discounts as well as pre-approved financing; customized units are not normally in anyone’s inventory.
What barriers are there - if any to someone financing units at the EGG?
There are barriers, but they are very limited. Bankruptcies or tax liens prevent our financing in the short term. However, everyone who wants to own their own truck can do so. We will work diligently to help even those with more serious credit issues to devise their personal “Path to Ownership.” We do this as a matter of routine.
Are you still accepting new registrations for people to come?
There is now a limited availability. We probably have room for less than a dozen participants, and they are going fast. However, the EGG is not a stand-alone issue. Every day of every week Expediter Services is either making drivers owners or making it possible for owners to upgrade their units, both tractors and straight trucks. Everyone is encouraged to give us a call to either make your reservation for the EGG event on April 4th and 5th or to begin your own process of truck ownership.
