It depends on the model of Eberspächer aka Espar. The common model for the water heater is the d5w and the air heater is d5l. these are diesel fueled heaters and are very good.
I had several d5ws in Dodge cummins trucks and they did keep everything warm, even at 0 degrees. I also had a d7w and a d10w, which kept the vehicle and box area warm (landrover without no insulation), but not hot. the d10w was something i regret getting rid of it.
It will not replace the existing heating system, it is meant as a stationary heating system.
they are expensive on this side of the pond. over in europe the cost is seasonal, right now they are expensive but summer time they are priced right.
also webesto also makes heaters that you can buy through a dealer in canada, i don't remember the name and if i do find it i will edit this post.
