This is a good thing....its the truest form of Independent Contractor,,,carrier not advancing the pay and the carrier not having to float a large line of credit at the bank to prepay O/O's....I imagine the recruiting doors would be pretty quiet if every carrier operated this format....it would eliminate a lot of part timers... of course IMOWell the ease of becoming a carrier under the multi system makes that true. For a couple thousand dollars you can be a carrier in a few weeks. Factor the money and the owner operators are carrying the cash float for you. Sadly easy to start and easier to walk away from. It's the owner operators that tend to be the ones that get burned.
