In this hall of fame,it should have the people that were instumental to the success of this form of trucking. As in football, baseball,or rock and roll, not all the people that played the game,or did their music, are in the hall, just those special people that did exceptional feets in their own indeavor. As was stated in an earlier post, origanally, before actually being called expedite,it was exclusive use.Roberts Express, was the actuallyfirst comany dedicated to exclusive use freight, and showed how the different size trucks could actually save the customer money. So my vote for the 1st person to enter this hall of fame would be and and has to Bill Blodgett. There were many people in Roberts that helped build the future of expedite, some just did things to further just Roberts. After a few years in the expedite system, there seemed to be a need for a special handling inn the business.Dave Hodge was instumental and diserves to be in the hall for his contribution in this area.Ok thats my 2 votes, there were to many drivers that did the impossible to make expedite freight work,to many to name without leaving some out.To para phrase a tv show, there are so many storie sin the expedite city

How could you ever verify a persons contribution to the growth and betterment of the expediting industry? Is this going to be an actual hall in an actual building, or just a computer list voted on by the few claiming to represent the many? Or, are we talking an EO hall of fame for the growth and betterment of this site? That, you can verify to a point. I agree with silverdollar, it sounds like a boys club. Most of us who have been trucking for years and switched over to expediting, inadvertently contributed to the industry of expediting, by doing the job, and generating more customers, and thereby making it grow. This looks to me like nothing more than some wanting to see their name in lights. Bad idea, and way controversial idea in my view, and it should be dumped right here. I can see the dogfights coming.
