EO BBQ Throwdown?

What do you all think about having a BBQ throwdown (like on the Food Network) next year at the Expo? Everyone will want to eat, and I think it will be alot of fun! We did a chili cookoff in Louisville a few years back and that was a blast! Everyone really appreciates good cooking and this could be a neat little twist to the Expo after hours festivities! We really appreciate all the folks we met and heard alot of good ideas on different grilling methods! I know there are alot of ladies out there with awesome recipes as well! Give me your feedback and maybe we could present the possibility to Lawrence! The Breakfast In The Parking Lot has been a huge hit wherever we go! And it will keep building the commradery in our industry! Thats why Sindy and I are so adamant about getting together with folks throughout the year! For us it doesn't stop when the Expo or the other shows are over! Another weekend, and another opprotunity to bring folks together on common ground!:D

I'm having a pig roast this weekend in Seville and any driver to that wants to stop by and get a bite can.

Hey Mania bring this back up closer to the Expo sounds like it could be fun as long as I am not the one cooking. I prefer the job of taste tester.

Cannot wait for EXPO 2011!!!!

I would want to be the taste tester also. If you ate my cooking, a throw down would end up as a throw up.

I threatened to get involved at this year's expo, but my greed gland overrode my taste buds. Good thing, too. We did almost $8k that week.

My threat was my fajitas, costillas and my peanut butter pie. The Puerto Rican makes arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas) that are to die for.

Here's a challenge: Why doesn't a sponsor (cough, cough, EO, cough, cough) have a contest, with different categories? For example, meal or dish made in a truck (wife made me the rice dish in our 72" sleeper in the parking lot at a shipper in Jamesburg, NJ), meat dish, dessert, etc.?

Do that, and I'd be all over it like stink on poop.

Takers?

Got a request in for Scripps Network for Bobby Flay, this may happen! Have to put in requests for special appearances 6-10 months before hand! Lets see how it goes! Keep our fingers crossed!;)
