I'm not sure what I think about the email idea.
My quick reply regarding our numbers. Getting all my information is very important to me. First off it isn't for the Four Star. Each of us owners are running a business. Wether is one truck or more. We have more than one truck. I want to know what loads the other truck (and our truck) refused and what the pay and miles are. I had drivers say they have received no offers, only later to find out they did receive a good load offer. (how, we happen to end up in the same place and I saw it on the C-link) When we owned our other business, I kept track of everything, what came in our store, went out, cost, damages and the list goes on. When things started to get slow I had Very good records of each week, month and year to review all of our stats to make a good business decisions. No matter what business it is, its important to keep track of all records, and each business owner should now where they stand each day, or weekly, monthly, quarterly. With the new system I should be able to see All of our numbers, what we accept, refusals, dry runs and the load and empty per mile information. If I see us or our other truck numbers going down I want to look at our stats to see why! If it due to, to many refusals I want to see it review them to see why. Yes, when you have other drives you should trust them, have honestly and each of us make good choices. But, running a business it is what it is and I want be able to see all the information regarding our trucks so I can keep our business running in the right direction and to see if we can do anything to be more productive to raise the dollar. I do not like not knowing where we stand.
Under the old system each year I also had to call to make correction on the information I seen in our numbers. Once we received a late, but we were 3 hrs early, I don't mind the new system (except when I see a great load and I don't get it,) I think is good to be able to service the customer as fast as possible this keep the customer with FDCC and keeps us moving. But, being able to see the errors this year calling and making the corrections immediately was impossible so I have no clue what our true number are. I do know that the number I was given was the lowest since we've been on with FDCC and it totally shocked me especially since we stayed out and only went home a few times compared to the prior years.
It would be nice to start the old system back up and run it with the new system together until all the kinks are worked out and keep it in place until all the information is able to be provided to the owners, CC and recruiters. This way there is a cross reference and a back up of the information. I have heard that FDCC is working on getting the number to show in the new system since it stated. I thought it would have been fixed long before know. I think being able to see all of our numbers is very important to our business. Well, it was a quick reply then as I typed, I keept going. Then I wasn't sure if I still should have posted under the "email idea" but it seemed to fit with some of the other post.
It just like when My husband says, Do you want to race?, and then he always says "I win" because he never tells me where the finish line is!
