Electronic Logs

Even with the electronic logging, we still use DDL on our computer. Old habit's from back when we used it in conjunction with paper logs.
For those that still use paper logs, I would recommend it. It has saved us many times from making silly mistakes when logging.
I was against the electronic logging at first, but now that we are used to using it, I like it. I've always been a stickler for how my logs looked and I'd spend too much time making them look "just right" LOL This is so much easier.

If it were me, I would take my time finding out who you need to get a letter to and have all your facts straight. He was wrong and at the time you handled it right but I would make sure make a point to ruin his day by having the powers that be tell him that he was using his authority the wrong way.
That old saying " one bad apple...."
