Electrical issue with M2 business class

I have an 07 M2 car carrier with the Mercedes 6 cyl in it. A few days ago the 4 way flashers and right head lamp came on by themselves. As soon as you open the door it shuts off. This went on for 3 days. I got it in my shop today and now it seem to be fine again. Any ideas? Also had a friend of mine tell me not plug in the block heater due to fire hazard.
Any help is appreciated

Thanx for this, i was going to plug in my block heater in the morning and go back to sleep in the sleeper, guess not now.

Have no idea 'bout the flasher/headlite deal, my M2 has never done anything quite like that.

I guess anything electrical can be a fire hazard. I have been plugging trucks in since the beginning of time and only seen 1or 2 failures not resulting in fire but tripped circuit breakers..
Look yours over and plug it in overnight when your not sleeping in it.. What ever ya plug it into just make sure circuit is protected...

Any bad advice on my part maybe corrected by our resident electrician...
If he chimes in follow his advice. :D

Yeah, I have plugged my into my EU2000 Honda and I'm supposing the built in breaker would trip if a problem. After not pre-warming and spending last nite in Tulsa with a low around 15 faren the valve train and/or injectors sounded like a clam bake for a half a second when she fired up. I'm sure the 15-40 Delo I'm running has something to do with. This cold snap caught me off guard.

Its gotta be pretty cold or a set of bad batteries to prevent a modern diesel from hitting. For sure they will rattle a bit.:D
