More than likely it's a very corroded multipin connector on the frame rail about 5 ft from the rear of the truck left side
Very common problem my solution was to cut out that section of wire and connector and butt splice the wires using heat shrink able splices
There's plenary of slack in the harness as it's what they install at the factory for the body builder to use when mounting equipment if your working in the cold have fun!
Prior to doing the crimp thing slide a large diameter heat shrink with the interior glue on the cable do to spice with heat shrink crimps seal the whole thing and never look back
