I see the truck sold for $6,100 on eBay. I guess it's good that it sold, Rich, but it must also feel like you are saying goodbye to an old friend. Ten years in a truck; I'd feel sad seeing it go. There is no question that you got your money's worth out of her.

Yes it is sad, kinda like losing a friend. The truck does not owe me a cent.Guy is coming tommorrow from Corpus Christy TX to pick it up,bet it winds up down in Mexico.

Yesterday I picked up the driver who flew in from TX. He inspected the truck, was pleased and gave me a cashiers check and drove away.

Believe it or not I felt sadness watching some other guy take away my truck. I think females get attached to homes and caves but us males get attached to machines that move such as cars, boats, motorcycles and TRUCKS. Good old D 2824 ran many a mile for me, from Vancouver BC to the Florida Keys, from St John Newfundland to San Diego Ca and all points in between and it did it well. About 2230 last night I said to my wife" I hope that guy isn't trying to do 80-85 mph in that truck". She replied,"why do you care now". I replied," Just can't help it I don't want that unit to get beat up by a stranger". Silly thoughts but true, today I am better.

Totally understandable Rich. I felt the same way a while back when I sold a guy my old pickup a while back. When I saw him driving it. he had taken off the cap, it was all trashed up, and already dented. I got offended! LOL.

If that's "a guy thing", then just call me one of the guys, lol - I am quite attached to my van, & would HATE to see a stranger drive away in it.
Don't worry, Rich - he'll give it a good home, just as you did, I'm sure - but did you arrange for visitation, just to check? :7
