i clicked that link .... and wow .. it is amazing that the driver is ok.....
wonder why he crashed ???
and right about rush hr time frame too.... whewwwww
The truck was pulling an oversized load of an 80-ton locomotive, they said. As the tractor approached the I-74 overpass, it somehow became separated from its trailer.
"Barnett said the only possible charge stemming from the accident appears to be a misdemeanor count of failure to secure a load, if it is determined there was some kind of human error. The sheriff's office plans to examine the tractor and trailer."
Bad choice of load to not recheck the securement, if that's what it was.
i'm just glad the bridge didn't colapse. i wonder where the load was picked up? how far had it gone before the wreck? since the trailer seperated from the tractor did the kingpin break? improper load securement? looks like the load still on trailer. well since i seldom go that way it will have little impact other than idle speculation about what happened....
