Easier to buy guns

Benefit of the doubt is long gone due to repetition of the same points, none of which are logical or appropriate to solving criminal activity. Just keep drinking that koolaid and making excuses for the man though. Some people still blindly believe them and appreciate them and likely never will see what's really there.

Cheri he has proven he doesn't care if there is legislation, he will do what he wants He is a very scary man.

There's a lot he's done that I don't like, but he can not do what he wants. He may not do what the Republicans or conservatives want, but that's not the same as doing what he wants, regardless of what the people want. Like it or not, most people do not agree with the far right agenda: cut taxes for businesses & more affluent people, enact new restrictions against voter fraud and abortion, refuse to acknowledge gay marriage or climate change - those are positions most people don't hold.
Scary is the Koch Bros, who weren't elected, but are controlling too many states and aspects of our lives, because they choose to use their considerable fortunes for that purpose.
We are getting to the point [if we haven't passed it] where "government of, by, and for the people" is only government OF the people, because what the people want doesn't matter to legislators. That's scary.

If guns were much harder to obtain, people might treat them with more respect than some do today.

What extra laws are going to fix things? People might respect guns more if they were used more often with better castle doctrine laws.

. . . In these areas to which he refers, it's probably easier to steal books and vegetables than it is to purchase a gun.
That's assuming their are places to steal such items.
