E-Track Accessories

I found the bracketed 2x6 the most used method in a cargo van, but the straight truck I drive has a nifty bit of equipment too: a pr of metal sleeves that slide over load bars, with slots for the E track straps on each side. This allows you to run straps between load bars, securing the freight on all sides. I don't know what they're called, (or where to find them) but they sure are useful!

I have one 2x6 with E-Track attached and in this picture the tall stop doubles as a bed support when I turn my bed longitudinally. This also has E-Track attached to the back side.

Those are the ones I was talking about. Boy they sure are proud of those things, $25 a piece! They would cost less than half to fab, and still make a good profit.

I have a friend in Glen Rock, PA that makes the sleeves for me. Does good work. He can design and make most anything you can dream up for E-Track. He has several years experiance jury rigging stuff for fire and rescue services. The cool thing is it is a REAL Made in the U.S.A. mom and pop small business. All the money stays here. Did you suggest that he fabricate some & set up a website to sell them? There's a lot of potential there, I think, cause most of us would be happy to buy 'local'.

Better warn you up front Cheri1, it would be best if you DID NOT talk politics with him!!! He is as independent as I am. He is a life long volunteer firefighter and small business owner. He hates socialism, high taxes, national health systems and MOST Dumbecrats. LOL, there are many of us "nuts" out there. In reality, he is the only type of person I hang out with. Independent and succesful and willing to put his life on the line for total strangers. I don't hang out with whiners and losers. He raised his family with no help from the government, thank you very much, and gave un-told hours to his comunity. A real "Mans's Man" I am proud to call him "Friend" If you ever choose to do business with him I can assure you of one thing. He only does his best. He knows no other way. If he builds you a "toy" it would be built with the same pride and care as his rescue equipment. Layoutshooter

Thanks for the heads up, Shooter. Though I wouldn't be likely to 'talk politics' with him, you might be surprised: I too raised a family (2 daughters, half the time as a single parent) with NO help from the government. One is now a nurse (and wife & Mom), the other is in college - I am as proud of them as Leo is of his girls, because I PUSHED them to accomplish their goals, when necessary. I too, am fiercely independent and determined to remain that way, come hell or high water - it's what my Daddy taught me. (Wish he'd taught me some engine repair too, sigh).;)
Under the right vs left labels imposed by the unthinking, we are not very different at all.

I salute your acheivment. You should take pride in your life. Having read that I don't understand why you like Obama? He believes that Americans are just too stupid to do what you did. I take fierce pride in my indepenence as should you. You have done much more than most Dumbecrats think you can. You and your daughters are far better off having done it the hard way. Your wish should be for all to strive to suceed on thier own. Those who suceed on thier own, without government care, acomplish more with thier lives than anyone else. Life is tough. The tough do the best. Government "benefits" make for soft people. You don't sound soft to me. Layoutshooter

I have at least 12 replies to that "you don't sound soft to me" comment, lol, but we won't go there, ok? :D
I think the subject needs to be kept on the Soapbox, though, far as my thoughts on Obama.
Back to the regularly scheduled program here.....uh, what was it, anyway?

I believe it's called e track wood beam socket or wood end socket,
wood_beam_socket_ld.jpg
, I have seen regular ones and heavy duty ones, you can find both versions here.

Been searching for over a year now for (not sure what its called) an item that clips into the e-track and with 2 you can put a board between them to help freight from sliding.

I purchased all my e-track and clips with rings from Tractor Supply Co. but have been on the look out for this other item and can't seem to find them. TSC has no clue what I am talking about when I ask.

The rings work fine but there are times when just a board to keep things from sliding would be much easier.

Would like to know of, hopefully, a national chain that might have this. Joe's hardware in BFE won't help me. Anyone who can help me out would be greatly appreciated.

You sell them and you "believe" they are called beam sockets? I do "believe" you offer a decent assortment of E-track products. Thank you.
