Dropped Calls....Dropping

I'd like to hear from anyone else if your connectivity to data and calls have improved on AT&T .

On a recent trip from Cincinnati to Georgia - I didn't lose a single call.

I dropped AT&T long , long ago . I have never had a dropped call or failure to have a signal with Verizon . My carrier uses Sprint for the Xata e-logs and have never failed to get a signal with that either .

Att seems to work well for me. Verizon was good except always dropped calls when crossing state lines. Sprint is the worst major carrier out there. Constant dropped calls.

Lots of dropped calls with my Sprint service. Even along major city commuter corridors.

They do fine for calls but poorly for email. I can hit the button for email on ATT and several seconds later when frustrated by nothing happening then hit the button for Verizon and even though started a good bit later the Verizon will be ready before ATT.

My email is set to download every ten minutes so no wait.

My phone goes through the battery so quickly I don't enable gps or automatic mail checking or anything else that uses power. It's similar if checking a website or whatever as far as performance goes. I rarely use it for email or web so it's not a major issue, just an annoyance. I posted mainly to illustrate my observation of ATT (not so good) vs. Verizon (pretty good).

I've used Sprint for nearly 9 years now, and I've had very few problems (knock on wood).

I did have more problems when I had s Blackberry on Sprint, but that was Blackberrys system. Battery usage can be shortened by a number of things like texting, leaving your screen brightness on the brightest setting all the time and the number of "automatic updates" you have running.

I do know that Sprint is in the process of updating their entire system for 4G LTE . They will be moving some towers in the process, to provide better coverage in areas where they have poor service.
