Another nail in the coffin ,we were on a 900 plus run recieved a message at 2 in the morn. While i was driving for a load i did not ans .because i was driving and i really wasnt worried about because we were on a pro, heard it chrip a few more times when we finally stoped checked messages, and lo and behold it was for another load picking up 60 hrs. Out the next message was because i did not reply i was put out of service .
Needless to say i called and spoke to the dispatcher who sent this rude message and was told to bad im out of service, now im still on a load and ive got 250 miles to deliver so i told her to come and get the load im on if im out of service i cannot deliver and that i would see her and some one with the authority to fire her, now you say this may not have worked out to my advantage but she did get someone to assist med in getting this straightend out .
Now the last time i looked i am a contractor panther works for me i pay them weekly to find freight for us and handel paper work i do my part 100% all the time im not going to be talked down to by dispatch if we as o/o ,contractors keep letting them change the rules you might as well sell your trk. And let them hire you as a driver fed ex tryed this and it turned out to be a big lawsuit i can see panther headed in this direction.
As far as the driver councel,useless they do nothing for the o/o, first outs hahahahahaha usless only thing that comes from that is another crappy load.i personaly looking for a nothervenue there out there.
