Even with a headache I could read it but it gives me the creeps! Why not use spell check and correct English? I realize this was just for fun but it still creeps me out.

I am a lowly road scholar. But even I know enough to capitalize "Rhodes Scholars".

And why would that be???

It was just a reference to the rhodes scholar "wanna-be's" on the site and therefore did not deserve the dignity of capitalization!!

Because the Rhodes Scholarship Fund was set up by a Mr. Cecil Rhodes for recipients to attend Oxford University. All proper names deserving capitalization.

I could quote a Dan Akroid line to Jane Curtain, but I won't.

Doggie Daddy care to counter?

Or you could be man enough to come out and say it here for everyone to read......we all know what you're trying to say. Just what is your problem with what I posted???

I guess you could also say a Rhodes Scholar is someone who graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis. It's a very expensive private university.

Yes, it's all fun and games until you think one of your "buddies" has been insulted, eh??

The quotes that you speak of..... one used the word sl-- and the other used bi---........which one would you like to choose for me in front of all these people?

Moot has a couple (dozen) buddies on EO, but if you were referring to me, you are way off base. I never wanted to be a Rhodes Scholar, but even us high school dropouts can understand why "sarcasm does not an argument make"......
And, I'm not insulted when you disagree with me, either - it's still all fun & games, far as I'm concerned:D

hondaking38 This is a good and funny post but some people seem to have a chip on their shoulder and can not just have fun with out getting a dig in.
In this day and age it is very easy to copy and paste your post in a spell checker and check the spelling. Now as for grammar I am the worst and I am still working on this area... so sometimes you do have to decipher what I am trying to say.

I still think it's all good fun but I'm wondering why, as a moderator, you would be more concerned with a chip on my shoulder than another member insinuating that I'm a sl-- or a bi---??

Digs and insinuations are made on this forum all the time and it's quite all right as long as none are pointed to the "in" crowd.

Would you be so kind as to specify who, exactly, is the "in" crowd to which you refer? Cause I would hate to post something that's not all right!
