Man, yes that's what it takes now. Got my truck serviced same place as usual, and can barely get the gear down. I noticed more grease around the gear box than usual. Called the service department, and they said they used the same grease as they always. Same as for the rest of the truck. Any ideas, By the way it has gotten a little bit easier everytime I put it down, but not much.

On the way to Nova Scotia, 3086 miles with 88 lbs on board. yeehaw, or was until the fuel jumped $0.60 per gallon.

Assuming they used the right grease, it could be harder to crank because you are running in a colder area? If it is a two speed, and if it is not engaged all the way, that might affect it as well.

You probably have excess grease inside the gear boxes. You can take the covers off and clean the excess out. In the winter time too much gease will give you a dislocated shoulder. I just keep a light film in the gear box and WD 40 the legs.

Well got home and took drivers side cover off. Filled a small box with grease, then a spring fell out of who knows where. check the internet for a manual,no luck. So I did what any red blooded trucker would do, called Stoops who had serviced the truck any cried like a little girl... result, Took it in they took it in right away and dug the extra greese output it back together, No Charge. Thanks stoops ( Dayton )
