Canada Does Canada hurt my bottom line?

Hey, how have things been going for you over at panther. I know this is a bit off the subject, but I know panther has a lot of freight. I'm just scared of coming back to them with my own equipment and losing my wallet. Right now it's pretty much a draw between Panther and Bolt Express. Who do you think I should lease on with?

No more Canada for me... Every time I sat in Chicago land.. all around me would be getting the choice USA loads and I would get 'held' for crappy Canada runs where I would have to dead head out. The bonus Panther pays gets eaten by tolls and coming back so there is no bonus at all. Now, I get all USA freight and I have made more money than leaving the unit on Canada.

Robin and I have no problem going to Canada and we often get a good load coming back. Just make sure all you paper work is in order both ways. May be luck but our experience has been we can make money going to Canada.

When I went into Canada it was hurting my bottom line as well. I would have to DH out b/c there were too many other drivers there and not enough loads coming out. Not to mention the Canadians are paying $1.08 per liter for fuel so if u figure it out that's about $4 a gallon. plus $3.75 to cross the bridge. Here's a hint if you are still going into Canada. Use the tunnel if you are an empty cargo van and leaving canada b/c there isn't a very long wait at that location.

Yeah man. I was going to tell you that the day after you left Bloomington I got a load offer going all the way out to Winnepeg Manitoba. Then the delivery point was switched to a warehouse out in Fargo. I was thinking to myself, if he had only been a little bit more patient.
