Does any truckstop have decent internet?

Paid $20 for a month of PFJ internet the other day; it's terrible! Service is weak when it works, which it usually doesn't, and when I complained, I was told that no refund is possible. Gonna take it up with my bank; maybe a backcharge will get the attention of the hacks in Knocksville :p

a company called Wandering WiFi handles that contract and for Loves as well....I know a few that have called their customer service and gotten a credit and they can turn the signal strength up as well remotely.

I will have to contact Wandering WiFi.

The person at PFJ offered to "troubleshoot" the system. That would mean remotely rebooting the router at the truckstop. I'm sure that would have gone over real well with whomever else was on the internet at the time... :p

I don't think they really cover the car lits. It's mainly pointed to the truck parking. It's stunk for years out front

I should probably say "Thank you". Y'all just saved me a bundle on faulty Internet service which, now, I won't buy. I'll look at other alternatives now.

When it stinks inside the building, that is not really acceptable, though.

Wandering wifi sucks, they know me by my first name, they give credits but they arn't good if the service isn't working! The problem stems from failed installations and old technologies, iPhones and iPads suffer the worst, large trucks reflect the signal to the moon, they really need to install umbrella antennas on the high light posts to solve it, but they just take money and do no improvements, don't waste your money!

Agreed. I have a Verizon mifi. It's expensive, but just as fast as my internet at home.

I also have a Verizon Mifi and I love it. I used it to set up my wireless network in the truck and have my laptop, iphone and printer hooked up to it. Makes for effortless printing, scanning, etc.

For us Van drivers we also can go to Panarea Bread. There are so many places that have free internet for us in smaller vehicles why pay anyone for internet.

I've hauled my straight trucks many a time to Panera Bread, not really for the wifi, but I love their Mac and cheese and everything else.

You guys must be dispatched so internet is more of a luxury. For those who self dispatch reliable internet at the drop of a hat anywhere, anytime is a necessity.
