DOD Clearance

Is the expense and trouble of getting DOD clearance for a H/W van team worth it? Is there much demand for this type work at the cat?
Thanks

We run alot of DOD loads. I would say yes it's worth it.

I just noticed you said a "van". I'm not sure how many escort loads, if any, are being done now. We haven't had one in a very long time. I think that's what they used vans for. Someone else jump in here if I'm mistaken please

I'd think about the best possible escort vehicle would be a van so I'd expect it to be a good thing to have.

Two vehicles, one loaded and one empty but following behind to observe and call in the black helicopters if required.

Am I confusing DOD with other gov't clearance endorsements or is it one and the same?
Thanks

The clearance is called a DoD clearance for simplicity, but it is more than just the DoD work. For example you need a clearance to haul some nuke plant things for the DoE, the samwe clearence that is used for the DoD.

The catch to all of this is that your company has to got through the process first to qualify, then you can apply.
