Do you think DOT singles out straight trucks?

Seems to be a contradiction in your statement, Wayne. The way I see it, if they pull you over cause you have an easier truck to inspect, then they ARE targetting a certain class of truck.

Silly fortwayne. I agree with Thawk. If you don't like potatoes and you like peppers and all you buy are peppers, then you are targeting peppers.......

I was hit twice in the same day during the June maylay <sp> I can go for 60 days or more then bam... I get hit one after another.. Then it's quiet again.

One thing funny is I have a new truck, oh well just part of the bussiness...

I finally got pulled over today!
Yep, was driving a tractor..........hauling a straight truck inside of the trailer......hauling a cargo van inside the straight truck.........hauling a motorcycle inside the straight truck....gee I wonder what that means?

Back in early May, my truck was pulled in for a D.O.T. inspection at the Alabama weigh station on I-20. I got in line behind 2 other straight trucks and one tractor-trailer. By the time I left, there were three more straight trucks in line waiting to be inspected. Passed inspection with no problems. Didn't get a sticker because they were out. As I approached Birmingham, I was pulled by a D.O.T. officer for a roadside inspection (less than an hour after the first inspection). There were plenty of trucks on the road around me, but all of them were tractor-trailers. Anyway, he seemed disappointed that I had already been inspected and sent me on my way. They may not target straight trucks normally, but something tells me that on this day, they definitely were.
