Breaking News: Syria has agreed to give up it's chemical arsenal if America does not invade...the UN can make thus all go away by going in and taking the weapons and destroy as they see fit...in an interview last evening. Now This we should agree to...if we know where everything is for the strategic strikes...then we also know where to pick them up and destroy them. This i would vote for and this would be a winning strategy for all to claim since we still have no proof, to my knowledge, that the leader actually used them. Thoughts?

It could be good or they could be following the lead of places like Iran and using it as a stall tactic.

Easier said then done. The U.S. is being played by Putin and Assad in order to delay any strike (IMO). Locating, collecting and transporting these weapons could easily take a year or more. Meanwhile Assad can continue to march forward and continue to slaughter his people with conventional weapons just like he has been doing.

We know where some of the deployment sites are and where a small percentage of the actual chemicals are; however, the true amount and the various storage locations are unknown. Those that we do know of have been dispersed during this debate. We would need to put trust in Assad to "give up" the amount and locations which is not realistic.

We had no proof until Assad agreed to let them be collected.

This "looking for" chemical weapons really is a howler.

Folks. They can read the date on a dime laying on the ground. If you can pull up some neat stuff with Google Earth? Imagine what they can, and do....do. Those satellites up there see all, know all, and there are no mysteries.

Assad is not wiping out his own people....the US backed rebels stirred the whole thing up, as always. How many times do we have to see the game played out....to figure it out?

IMV, we arm and stir up the "rebels".....who are then defended against by the ruler of the targeted nation, all the while it's betrayed as that particular leader killing his own people. He's actually fighting the rebels!

We really need to get the reruns of Columbo back on the tube. It's the same operation, the same MO, and the same blue print laid out time and time again. It's nothing a rumpled old rain coat and cigar won't solve.
