Anybody tried the APP BIG ROAD....I played with a demo of this for a bit, but still do the paper logs and will as long as I can, I do have laptop and printer in the truck, BIG ROAD gives you that ability to save and print logs...Ive never had a printer freeze....but if you left the truck off in really below freezing temps for more then a few days you might.

I am confused, how can you leave a truck to freeze inside, printer or not? Water bottles would burst. If it is really cold canned soup etc would as well. A printer freezing would be the least of my worries. I guess if you carry no supplies that may freeze it would be different. We would have a serious mess and a lot of damage if our truck froze.

How do you keep your printer from freezing in the cold when parked overnight or when shut down for 34 hr restart? If at hotel or home??

Well ya provide aux heat or take it with you.:)

I have had a printer/scanner in the truck for about 4 years and its been bolted in the same spot since I got it..No aux heat. Never take it in with me. Im sure it froze a time or two but I never had a dimes worth of trouble from it. Admittedly I never tried to use it in a frozen state tho.
My ink pens allways worked no matter how cold they get so I just assumed the ink in the printers will hold up to cold weather also. The plastic inside the printer gives me concerns and thats why I never fire it up untill the inside temps of the truck comes up.

Yes I have had problems in the winter with the ink being to cold to be used the truck doesn't have to be freezing for this to happen I just swap out a cartridge with another thats been in a warmer spot in the truck.
