DID YOU KNOW THIS?

Did you know that 47 countries have re-established their
embassies in Iraq?

Did you know that the Iraqi government employs 1.2 million
Iraqi people?

Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools
are under rehabilitation, 263 schools are now under construction
and 38 new schools have been built in Iraq?

Did you know that Iraq's higher educational structure consists of 20
Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges and 4 research centers?

Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in
January 2004 for the re-established Fulbright program?

Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational? They
have 5 -100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels and a naval
infantry regiment.

Did you know that Iraq's Air Force consists of three operation squadrons, 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130 transport
aircraft which operate day and night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 bell jet rangers?

Did you know that Iraq has a counter-terrorist unit and a
Commando Battalion?

Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000
fully trained and equipped police officers?

Did you know that there are 5 Police Academies in Iraq
that produce over 3500 new officers each 8 weeks?

Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects
going on in Iraq?
They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals,
83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities
and 69 electrical facilities.

Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age
of 5 have received the first 2 series of polio vaccinations?

Did you know that 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled
in primary school by mid October! ?

in Iraq and phone use has gone up 158%?

Did you know that Iraq has an independent media that
consist of 75 radio stations, 180 newspapers and
10 television stations?

Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened
in June of 2004 and that the Iraqi economy is BOOMING?

Did you know that 2 candidates in the Iraqi presidential
election had a recent televised debate recently?

OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW!

WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW?

OUR MEDIA WOULDN'T TELL US!

Because a Bush-hating media and left wing liberals would
rather see the terrorism prevail in the world rather than
exercise some common sense and patriotism.

The lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves only one
purpose. It undermines the world's perception of the
United States and our soldiers.

All of these facts are verifiable on the Department
of Defense website - and many other independent sources.

We shouldn't really get into this here, but... those 2000 Americans, who gave their lives, so that others could be free, volunteered to do so, and knew, when they volunteered, that someday they would need to do what needed to be done, to make this world we live in, just a little bit better.

If you could speak to any of them now, I'm sure they'd all say the same thing, ... damn right I do it again!

And then there's the 3000+ Americans who didn't volunteer to be a target on Sept. 11, 2001. Did we forget them?

Because of that, we now have a foothold in the Middle East to ensure it doesn't happen again. Because of that, millions of people are now free to criticize their government, where they would've been killed or jailed before if they did so.

I was in the Gulf War, and would gladly volunteer for this one if they would have me. Life means nothing without a purpose. And to fight those who would execute innocents (like those here whining about appeasement) by SAWING off their heads, that is a purpose I would make a sacrifice for.

Or... let's just pull out, show them we're weak, and prepare the body bags for the next mass jihad. I say kill the terrorists now and try to understand them later.

A patriotic T-hawk

What do they say? It gets worse before it gets better? Only time will tell if it was a success or failure. I'd bet Germany and Japan had the same growing pains after WW2.

Another thing the media is not very forthright about is the Fulbright program. Some may remember that Clinton was a Fulbright scholar.

It's a top notch breeding ground for internationalists who hate national sovereignty. They are people much like the Bush's and Clinton's. They support, to varying degrees, global government.

Got bad news for those of you who see yourselves as 'conservatives', that liberal media you don't like, they work for all of the top Republican leadership as well.

PS
Unless you want to face a vote similar to that which occured in France this past weekend, you had better learn about what the media is NOT telling you about CAFTA and the FTAA (both being pushed by Bush).

In the opinion of this former Marine and Republican: Bush is a traitor to this nation and an enemy of its Constitution.

Anyone who develops an opinion based upon one side of the story is soon to be disapointed.

Conservative? Liberal? Religious? Political? Newsprint? Television? Radio? Hear-Say? Left, right, middle, hillbilly or yank?

Best consider all avenues before making a turn. And THANK WHOEVER IS RESPONSIBLE for our military and our military families. It IS why we are here today and have the right to write such things as are printed here.

This is stated so often that many people actually believe it. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact anyone familiar with the writings of the founding fathers would know that they would claim just the opposite. It is not an accident that their writings on the subject are not fully covered in the schools or media. Everything we are told today in regards to our very large standing army and the powers of the 'commander-in-chief is 180 degrees from what the Founders said. In fact, Alexander Hamilton, while pointing out the differences between a 'commander-in-chief' and a king to opponents of that 'commander-in-chief' language, gave a definition of a king that fits with the actions of ALL modern day presidents. That truth could be seen by the whole world when George HW Bush (#41)told the American people he didn't need the permission of the Congress, let alone a formal Declaration, to attack Iraq.

During my five years in the USMC (85-90) I never served this nation, not even for one day. I served the political elite of this nation and whatever consensus they arrived at at any particular time. Had I a fuller understanding of those who run this nation I never would have joined up. Unfortunately that learning process did not begin until about a year after I got out.

Just the other day I recieved in the mail a solicitation asking for money for a Veterans fund concerning Vietnam. The author pointed out that a friend had died in Vietnam - "while fighting for our freedom."

Emotions shouldn't triumph over simple logic (This man most certainly did not die fighting for "our freedoms") and you can't have honest government without an honest people. Veterans do a disservice to this nation when they allow such rediculous statements to be made, statements that have absolutely ZERO validity.

To wallow in a pack of lies to make oneself feel good or appear patriotic doesn't do a damn bit of good for the future of this nation. It does, however, serve the interests of an elite who could care less about this nation's sovereignty or Constitution.

The truth is that the military today is the greatest danger the American people face. That truth may not be seen by many today, but it will come to them in time. Keep your ears close to the tracks and you will hear it coming. And your other ear, put your finger in it in order to block out the false rhetoric. Remember: Just the facts mam.
