How nice of them.
Spend over $1700 in a month and they will give you $15 back. Can't stop laughing.

Are you sure it is legit? All the mails that I saw starting like this were scams.

It is definitely legit, it is the new program Pilot/Flying J is running, I just fueled up and it tells me how far along I am to my reward on the receipt.

Laughable program for a CV...going to give you back some of the money they over charged you on their crappy diesel.

A free cup of coffee or a fountain soda with fill up is much better and 1/2 a shower credit. If i was running things lol

I would not run any rewards program.....must cost them millions to run a program...divert that money back to the complimentary shower...period.....CV's, Sprinters and cubes get nothing....they could pay $5.00 cash for a shower.

Yes, I got it and it is legit. I drive a straight truck and I am not complaining about the program. Anything they want to give me for spending my money there is a plus in my opinion. I have to have showers and I have to have coffee, so where is the problem? You CV'ers can fuel just about anywhere. If you don't like any of the T/S's, go somewhere else. You must have been doing business with the Pilot or J at some point or why else would they have your email to send this offer to you?

We got the promotional offer because we've registered our loyalty cards online or at the kiosk. Many also registered as a cargo van expediter, if applicable, and that's why this program being offered to vanners is a joke and an insult. It's just one more example of how Pilot fails to understand and recognize their customer base. Do you know how long it took most vanners to accrue the 500 gallons necessary for Pump Start? It certainly didn't happen for very many within one month, that's for sure. It'll take most vanners having really, really good months of 2500 miles a week, and buying all of their fuel at Pilot/J to qualify, and even then they'll barely qualify, maybe. For tractors and straights it's pretty simple, be loyal and buy most of your fuel at Pilot, and you'll qualify. For vans, it requires a great deal of luck, and far more effort than merely being "loyal" will get you - it requires you to be anal and obsessed, which is asking a lot considering the reward.

This "special" promotion is not even a promotion, it's simply the normal Level 2 Reward that's been part of the three levels of the loyalty program since it began. If you purchase over 500 gallons in any calendar month, you qualify for Reward Level 2. That means the following month all showers you earn will have a 7 day expiration and you will receive special Reward Level 2 offers throughout the month. Level 3 is 1000 gallons in a given calendar month, and you'll get 10 day shower expirations.

Frankly, if you're buying 500 or 1000 gallons of fuel in a month, even at 50 gallons a pop, how long your showers last is irrelevant, because you're accumulating showers faster than you can use them, anyway. It's the vanners who can only buy 15-25 gallons at a time who need the 7-10 shower expirations.

Granted, none of this applies to Load 1 diesel vanners, because we're accumulating showers faster than even the 1000 gallon per month truckers can, and by a significant margin, but this 500 gallons per month promotion targeted to vanners is insulting, and proves they don't have a clue about a large percentage of their customer base. Those who registered their cards as van expedite, if the promotion was 300 gallons, then it would be a good one, and 300 gallons in a month would show loyalty. But 500 gallons is on the extreme high end of what a van would normally put in the tank in an average month (again, Load 1 vans being the exception to that rule, more or less :) ).

Since July we have used 1824 gallons of fuel. Not all fill ups have been at a Pilot/Flying J.
