Being a retired state trooper I like everyone else gets upset when I hear of authorities pushing the law.
However it upsets me when all or most of truckers go all willy dilly and lump all law enforcement officers into one massive group of thugs.
Yet, we get ****ed off when we are all looked upon as deadbeat child molesters, dangerous drivers and scum incapable of getting real jobs.
In both cases.....not true.

Hey, I used to admire cops. That was before they decided they were in the military and they're occupying the nation. All cops thugs? I wouldn't go quite that far, but the ratios have reversed. It used to be that cops were generally honorable with a few bad apples; now things have reversed.

Just an update to all of this.

Today the mother had her day in court and all the charges were dropped.

Something surprising came out in court, the judge said that there is a serious constitutional issue with what happened.

The way it worked in her case and possible most others in the county is the court order that was used to remove the kid was not valid in the first place. It seems the judge who "issued" the court order allowed the court order to be 'rubber stamped' with her signature and the decision for the court order was left up to a probation officer who was neither allowed to make that decision or followed the right procedure to swear in the CPS workers, ask the proper questions AND to properly sign the order as a judge.

The Michigan Supreme Court's information office was asked about this and they said the judge has the right to set their own procedures with exception of having someone sign the court order. They also mentioned that CPS and the county has been too quick to remove children who were not in danger - flooding the foster care system while abusing their jobs and the rights of the parents.

The problem now is if the judge knew about the rubber stamping of removal orders and what happens with all the cases that removal orders were issued by the stamp. IF the judge knew about this, then she should be removed from the bench by the state and possible civil rights charges leveled against her but at minimal the mother should pursue in court a law suit over violating her rights in Federal court.

Just imagine the scenario - active, intelligent kid goes to school and gets assigned to a class taught by an incompetent teacher that barely graduated from college (imagine that!). Kid gets bored, starts acting up, teacher is in over his/her competence level, gets frustrated and decides kid needs Ritalin. Parents say h*ll no, kid needs good teacher - no mind altering drugs. Who has the final say?? Can the parent afford private school? Is Home Schooling an option? Bottom line is the public school system is a joke, thanks to the dumbing down of our academic standards. It's no wonder that all the doctors, scientists and engineers are from India and the Orient. Their cultures aren't centered around pop culture and reality shows on TV.

This lady needs to sue the judge's bond in fed court. Then maybe the judge will wake up! Losing one's bond is no laughing matter... except to the one who gets the bond.

....but a SWAT TEAM armed and kicking in doors...

I think your passion got the bestof you. Swat didn't kick her door in, go back and read your OP.

I agree CPS has way too much power though and the people they pick on don't have the means to defend themselves, then they often place them in more dangerous situations. What foster parent would give this child that this mother would.

• When Maryanne refused to let CPS take her daughter away, CPS personnel then called the police, who then smashed down her front door and attempted to raid her home to kidnap her daughter by force.

The police did NOT have a warrant or any court documents whatsoever granting them any right to enter Maryanne's home, according to Godboldo's attorneys.

• Police say that after they smashed in the front door, Maryanne opened fire on them. (Who wouldn't open fire on a group of armed assailants trying to kidnap their daughter, by the way?)

• A SWAT team was then called in, carrying semiautomatic rifles and sniper gear. A 12-hour standoff ensued.

You can play games with the words all you want, armed Detroit Police smashing the ft door...Detroit Police Swat team with sniper gear at the same location....if it will make you feel better, I could have said "Entry Team"...really....

You are the one playing with words.

Did a swat team break down her door as you claim or was it regular police?

answer the question.

was it swat that broke her door?

I said it was detroit police, I agree 2000 percent, that isn't the issue, was it swat like you claim or was it not swat?

Ill stand that Swat was there and that they contributed to the hold **** mess..were they the ones that "kicked in the door", from the article, nope...but they were part of the operation, they carry as much of the abuse of the citizen as any other LEO at the location....but yes I will give you that from the article, SWAT, did not kick the door in, just the detroit police...

But, if you think that takes them off the hook, you are sadly mistaken...."scum", every last one of them that were on that location and violated that womans civil rights..

At Load 1, before I got there, John honored a Taylor LEO that was killed in the line of duty..he died defending the citizens of Taylor..John has stickers on all of the Load 1 company trucks that were purchased to as a fund raiser...it is leo's like these in this article that tarnish the LEO's like the Officer from Taylor...there is no excuse for what they did, that is why all of the charges including weapons charges against this woman were dropped...

Thats ok, Load 1 concern is that I do the job that I contracted to do...this stuff is nothing but politics....and the 2 don't interact... this has been discussed more then once and cleared up....there is a seperation between politics and busines most reasonable people understand that...neiter endorses the other...:D

Change would be nice. We have been run by left wing joober doobers for DECADES. I wonder what a government that followed the Constitution would be like? Talk about a REAL change!

There's only one way to find out, bring that holodecks don't exist, and iirc, you've already stated you're opposed to it.

The only way to get a taste of constitutional government is to elect Ron Paul. Can you name any other candidate who, even on the surface, indicates that's what they'll do?
