THawk...you know the game. Yes I may take two loads out that each pays only .90 or a buck a mile but the rate after Panther gets their 15 percent is 1.50 to 1.70
Granted it isn't a winning lottery ticket, but your not sitting for days or deadheading either.
What Ateam is refering to as "cheap" frieght is exactly what Fedex's new LTL plan is. Jeff Jenson has written two recent articles addressing this new LTL plan. As Fedex Frieght knows, not all LTL is cheap frieght.
Also have to wonder that if one is third in revenue out of six trucks, with just three runs? Ummm??

I believe # 3 out of 6 is only 50% so how can one say I am doing better then 50%. Also just as an afterthought I was informed by another moderator today that 47% of all statistics are manufactured by the user and are made up to make him look more important then the other folks.

George, don't get worked up you put information such as your truck number and or name in a signature file, then it is inserted in all the messages in the future. By the way did you visit his web site and read some of his history?
Stay awhile and read more before you start jumping on the band wagon, you never know, you might enjoy the A Team posts as I do and alot of others do also, although I don't always agree I do enjoy them.

I have to admit, and this is no shot at Ateam, that I enjoy reading their posts too. I like controversy from time to time, and Ateam usually brings it. Granted, sometimes I don't feel like reading a long post (and Ateam has some of the longest), but Ateam brings some generally interesting viewpoints to the table. They are almost always disagreed with, but they believe what they say. For that, I applaud them.

You know I have to defend Phil sometimes, he has a lot of good stuff in his posts but there are a couple things that bother me every once in a while like now;

Phil’s statement; “It is also true that we've run just three loads month to date and we've probably earned more money in that time than most of the team-driven trucks we've seen drive by, even with the idle days we've had.†– Which it seems he is talking about all trucks every where and then in another post; “Our fleet owner currently has 6 White Glove trucks on the road. He gives his drivers access to his info on the FedEx web site so all of us can see how the others are doing.†So it is now a comparison of other trucks in the fleet he is in and then in another post;â€But I stand by my claim, not that my production is double yours, but that month to date, we likely made more money than most (over half) of the trucks we saw running loaded out of Laredo and San Antonio...both cheap freight centers.†Back to other trucks, I am confused Phil, which is it?

Not to beat you up about this but how do you know what others are making as they drive by?

And his quick determination that the thread went down hill and it should be deleted – Wrong. This is a good discussion with a lot of good information in it and to even consider this, defeats the purpose of posting the information in the first place. See Phil I learn two things; to get a bigger truck and Texas can be boring.

At this point, I would agree with Gregg. Sometimes it takes a longer thread to clarify something, or challenge statements that aren't understood or inaccurate. Still, alot of good information with some conflicting statements.
It is those differing opinions that show different sides to an issue.
Sometimes a little banter can be entertaining and informative as well.
