Does anyone know a good place to park in Del Rio TX. Are there any Pilot or J's?

There's a Walmart there. There's a small Stripes truck stop there, too. No PilotFlyingJ. I usually go to the Walmart.

Petro is good. I like them, just can't get a free shower because I buy gas, not diesel.

Checked the Petro website there is NO Petro in Del Rio all you have is the Stripes truck stop

If you identify yourself as an expeditor to a straight truck guy they will probably give you a shower.
I often have 5 or 6 on my card.
I won't give them to a homeless guy or crackhead that may do something stupid in there. I will help a guy that's out working.
I do not like the way the showers expire. I paid for them. They should not expire.

That's a good idea to ask another driver. I have had success in the past by showing my card and explaining that I buy gas and don't get points or showers. Usually if your pleasant to them, they will give you a shower credit. May not matter, another driver says there isn't a Petro in Del Rio. Guess I'll find out.

pilot gives me showers with buying gas..1/2 shower credit for 15 gallons..helps me in a pinch for sure.

The only time when I was there, I sat@ HEB. Didn't like those tiny so-called truck stops... anyway, Del Rio is not a good place to wait for a load.

ran a load out of okc into Del Rio 11pm to 9am arrival, crashed at w mart at 11am woke up couple hours later and a panther straight truck driver was grilling out in the parking lot and it was 75 degrees. And there are some nice senoritas down there but I don't speak espanol

Nice senoritas are everywhere by the Mexican border. I guess Laredo tops 'em....
