I just wanted to mention that altho 'dedicated runs' might sound great, they are a two edged sword.
Great to know that perhaps you're going to get a certain run(s) every week/month, and great to know that your carrier has enough confidence in you to offer you out to service their regular customer, great to know certain revenues will be coming on a regular basis.
The other side is you're potentially held back from doing much else, unless they're shorties, in case the reg cust calls for you. Can't risk sending you on a long haul in case you may not make it back in time to serve the reg, or what if the reg calls for an extra. Revenue is usually less than expedite, and you're just kinda stuck, on hold, waiting to serve the reg. And the reg's biz might slow down and require less too.
We watched it happen to someone from our first carrier, and while we at first thought, 'wow, he's got it made!', we learned to watch what we wished for!
