Well its Christmas morning Merry Christmas everybody I am dead heading toward Atlanta. I stopped at the T/A in Cottondale AL so I can have my free Holiday meal and this T/A is about the best one between Memphis and Atlanta will stay here today then run on into Atlanta probably Saturday morning

I started to deadhead home...and when I was in San Antonio they hit me with a run from Houston, TX to Addison, Ill...which they promptly sent me my swap info as soon as I started to roll on the load. Ended up getting swapped out in Memphis, Tn. So I went home instead of to my moms...now spending a boring christmas at home.......but will be driving my personal vehicle north......It sucks I was gonna get a ham to make for christmas, but all the stores are closed....lol....should have went north instead.....

Sitting in Laredo..looks like a ghost town.I am 1st out and the only s/t here with Panther.that might have something to do with me being 1st out.. seen 1 T/S straight truck and a bolt van.. there must be about 5 or 6 T/T trucks with Panther and thats it..the parking lots at all three truck stops are empty...sure would be nice to get out of here Sunday!!

Deadheaded home from Lawerenceville, Ill on Weds. morning after unloading there.Had an excellent and meaningful Christmas with my girlfreind, our first Christmas together.Went to a beautiful candle-lit church service Christmas eve, and had a great Christmas day together with freinds and family.I have waited so long for this,lived in the truck for too many years alone.I know how it is, and feel for you all out there, and will keep you in my prayers.Hang in there.I'll go back into service after the first of the year.I know if I go out now, I'll never get back close to home for the New Year holiday.

I'm home for now and not exactly sure when I'm going back out. I have some things to attend to at home until Tuesday morning, and my birthday is New Years, so I don't really want to be on the road then either. I'll probably just look for short runs this week and go back out after the 1st.

I have 3 doctors appointments next week, we will go back out on the 4h. The truck has a brand new D.O.T., oil and lube, the reefer is pm'd and so is the APU. TVAL work done and the steers balanced and Centramatics put on them. We are ready to head out on the 4th of Jan.

Just like guido, I spent Christmas with my sweetheart in the beautiful north North Carolina. Very interesting since we were snowed in, or better said, snowed out. Couldn't get in or out of the driveway because of the snow and freezing rain, so I had to park at the road and walk in a foot of snow up and down the half mile of the driveway with the supplies about a dozen times. I got some good exercise. Power went out, made fire in the wood stove, cooked, played games, had a great time. Best Christmas that I remember. I hope everyone had a great time.

Will go back in service on monday, and hope for another load this year.

Moose, I was in your neighborhood yesterday morning. Crossed the river at 37th avenue to get to I-94. I didn't have time to stop at the North Pole Cafe. I used to get some nice loads out of the MetalMatic plant on shingle Creek. Are they still there?
