I recently spoke to another cargo van expediter that sat in Atlanta for a week and a half then a few more days in Nashville after dead heading, just got out this am to Detroit.... There is hope, however small.

you gotta lower your bids... guys are drivin for free, you need to run at a loss to compete..

Naw. Us that make more per mile can sit a lot longer and wait it out. Just imagine if and when they break down, we will be the ones to rescue their freight.

Why? For about $70 or less he could have deadheaded to a more productive area, even Chicago.

Well bid 17 loads today not a nibble ranged from 1.50 down to 1.35 if no tolls involved so now I've gone to toledo to spend vd with my girl. Maybe I'll get lucky here and land a big one for the weekend

I had full intentions when I got to Laredo Saturday, that come this week I would b making my way back home to Ohio to spend Valentine's day with my 5yr old and my wife, here it is Thursday and it's not looking very promising at this point.....

Not nearly as silly as sitting in Atlanta for a week and a half then deadheading to Nashville where there are just as many cargo vans, only to sit for a few more days.

It's times like these I wish I lived in central U.S. enabling a possible DH run at times like these lol. Being my homes in Ohio and I'm in Laredo..... keep telling the wife we need to be more centralized.
