by resetting your ecm to 62 mph you will actually loose fuel mileage.the best fuel mileage is a truck set wide open and drive slow.If you use the horse power you will loose fuel, but if you have it to use and dont use it then the mileage will go up.
I havent noticed fsc going down,in fact seems to have gone up

Gotta agree with Steve...Guido had his 7.3 ecm flashed....opened it wide up...he has gained almost 2 mpg running at 70 mph...

Ethanol sucks....

- BASIL & SPICE OPINION - (11/2010) Iowa Corn Production Under*Threat

to perspective to Witness's numbers as to the 2008 spike...in the chart...from the USDA's web site..

Strong use both domestically and worldwide keeps feed grain prices at historically high levels, but down from record highs attained in 2007/08.

that confirms the spike....

Ethanol is doing us more harm as a country then good....

Speaking of "hoser"; I enjoyed your Canadien slang post but noticed the term hoser was absent. What gives, eh!

As for turkeys, I have a friend who will be deep frying his bird this Thanksgiving and dumping the left over cooking oil into his fuel tanks. Instant bio-diesel. OPEC can choke on a turkey neck!

It depends how your truck was spec'ed and where the "sweet spot " rpm is . My sweet spot is between 1400 - 1500 rpm's . At 65 m.p.h. I'm close to the center at 1430 rpm's . 62 m.p.h. puts me just below 1400 .
Carriers that spec'ed their trucks to run at 65 m.p.h. will lose rather than gain if they turn them below that .

Yeap that poultry is up in price, and ALL food is going up

I got a 21.9 lb. Giant Eagle brand turkey Saturday for a whopping....you ready??? .49 cents per pound!!! That bird just cost me $10.74.

Oh, and my Father-In-Law got a 20 lb. turkey for the same price. I do Thanksgiving every year at my house and thankfully we are having 30 family members this year. So my Father-In-Law said he would buy a turkey and cook it since we have so many people this year to help out. TWO Turkeys for $20.54!!! That will be almost 1.5 pounds of turkey per person with all the trimmings! Oh man....I can't wait!!!!!

Don't try and rain on my parade OVM:D I priced the others brands and found that the prices ranged from .49/lb. to 1.25/lb. The high end was the Butterball, which are always more expensive than the others.

My holiday grocery shopping would've been done at that store anyway, they didn't have to use any incetive to get me in there.

I spent $197.00 that day for Thanksgiving dinner and my family of four's shopping, not bad. By the way, I do the grocery shopping each week, so I am aware of the expense for our family. I also earned .40 cents off of fuel to boot.

Oh am sorry you were making a point to the Chef...lol..;)

I have a newspaper from Dec 8th 1982..the year my daughter was born..you know MANY items are the SAME price as then , some even cheaper now and some more of course...they are Can prices but none the less close to here for the time span...

Take bread for example...you can get cheap no name bread for about $1.29..or brand name for about $3.19...that is a whack of difference....in the 80's was .29 cents!!

The protein level in cheap bread is down into the single digits like 7-9 rating where s the brand name is around a 12-13.... that is the protein the wheat contains

7-9 goes for around 5.50 a bushel where the higher rating is around $8. to 8.40 a bushel...
