Well, I beg to differ with with you. The section of I40 from Cookeville to the bottom of the long hill that I was sitting on for a hour and a half was a solid sheet of ice till salt trucks got there. West bound side was where the first of several wrecks started, but East bound was ice also and was closed for a little while. Salt trucks got the east bound going quick, but West had 4 cars in the travel lanes that had to be removed. And I didn't see the sun, nor the sky cause it was gray overcast with sleet and lite snow falling. The sun was out and shining when I came down I81 from Va, but by time I got to Knoxville, it was getting darker to the west. By time I got to Crossville, it was getting bad.
