Okay, the EO team will be in Dallas next week at GATS and we plan to hit some great Tex-Mex restaurants. What do you recommend?

Thanks!

I'm a big fan of the "yelp" app while working OTR . Word to the wise though, some of the reviews can be disingenuous, but if your savvy enough to to spot someone with an agenda , and skip that review, yelp is a great resource.

One of many from yelp, using Dallas as location, and tex-mex as search subject , over 300 reviews showing 4 out of 5 stars.

From the website : The trailer trash taco !

Fried chicken, green chilies, lettuce, pico de gallo and cheese on a flour tortilla with POBLANO SAUCE.

Here ya Go......Personal Recommendation:

Miguelitos Restaurant | Authentic Tex-Mex food | 817.268.0404 | 209 W. Bedford Euless Road, Hurst Texas 76063

Just about 10-15 minutes West on 183 from where GATS is held. (My Neighborhood)

It's not a "Chain" Tex-Mex place......nor is it a Hole In The Wall. it is a Family owned and operated place that has been praised by Food Critics all over the Metroplex.

We eat there every couple of weeks or so.....and have for the last 10-15 years. Food is EXCELLENT. Movie "Stars" alike visit there too......You'll see Pictures of Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford taken there at the restaurant behind the Counter. (They were in Hurst training at Bell Helicoptor and Bell treated them to Miquelitos) As well as others....... We even had dinner with Dan Larroquette eating just a couple of tables over a few years ago.

Excellent - thanks for the recommendation! We plan to have the EO team there Friday Night after GATS.

Anyone interested in EO Night at Miguelitos?

The Hacienda in Frisco, TX, excellent Mex-Tex food, I stood corrected by the Chef because he is Mexican, hence the Mex-Tex!

This is a place we are going to give a try this year at GATS:

BEE: Best Enchiladas Ever - Oak Cliff - Dallas, TX

Scott Grenarth suggested this place and swears that if we do not like the food he will buy our dinner.... Big group of us going here on Friday night as it is within two miles of the convention center and it would be great to see EO here!

Look forward to seeing the EO team there and I hope you guys will check out our truck which will be entered in the Pride and Polish show

Cool.....

....And, if you call ahead to make a reservation, they'll set up a whole line of tables for you back in the "Party" room so that everyone will be sitting at the same table. (How Many coming??)

I'd suggest doing this......Friday Nights they have a Line out the door.........It's not a HUGE Place.....but they get the same Weekend Traffic as say OutBack & Chilis does.

Next Friday........Right? ;)

I've been at the Fuel City Taco myself too........It's more Mex-Mex Food here in Texas. Cheap.....But Good. Don't try the GREEN sauce on anything! I loved the taste and the Burn going in......but coming out.......:)

Everybody in Texas has eaten at El Fenix at one time or another.......Good Food.....But still considered a "Chain" Restaurant IMO.
