D.O.T Bed size ?

2 quick questions. I see that DOT has sleeper birth requirements. But It doesn't say how big the (actual bed) has to be?. Or where the bed needs to be placed if you have a big sleeper. Most beds are place on the back wall, curious to know if any one mounted a bed on the (side wall) of the sleeper instead on the (back wall)?

I see that but that's (sleeper birth) That's the entire minimum compartment size to sleep in. It doesn't say the actual (bed size)

You're correct, My bad for mis-reading. There is no mention of mattress "size" in the FMCSR nor in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

Not a problem, yeah I couldn't find anything about the mattress size. I was wanting to turn the bed from the back wall to the side wall and the side wall length is only 71".
