Yeah, would be in my book as well, however it does have possible implications.

I only mentioned it just cause it's a fact and if anyone was reading
and happened to only use the "quick method" of 2.2 factor to convert which many do, it wouldn't be totally accurate, and in the case of IFTA, one might think they have to register when in fact they do not.

IFTA for example uses 11797kg and a factor of 2.204 to arrive at 26000lbs

Using a factor of only 2.2 would result in: 11797 x 2.2 = 25953lbs

So someone with a 25990 or 26000lb GVWR might think they had to register.

So you need a few extra decimal places in order to be as accurate as possible.......10-4?:D



Ok ok...anal retentive mode off!

Everybody should just be on the metric system!
No bloody conversions should be needed!

That last line is what I think every time I see a weight restriction sign specifying tons - my truck is listed in pounds, why must they make me do the math? ;)
