There is much to be said for bringing in “new blood” into an industry that thinks small, med and large is all there is to satisfying the needs of customers. "They" as you refer to them may need a transfusion of new blood.

Not Progressive. The carrier you inquired with about putting on a 28 pup could be viewed that way, but the simpler answer is "they" likely didn’t know how to integrate the new product offering for their customer base.

Maybe you should ask one of the Carrier owners directly on EO. Surely they would not turn down freight capacity like a 28 pup trailer pulled by a tractor, with min of 25000 lb. cargo weighting, 14 pallets of deck space.

Been there, done that as they say and with more than one carrier and none were interested. I've talked to large and small carriers. It seems like a great idea to me to have 14 spots and 1000 lb. capacity per foot but it doesn't seem to interest any of the carriers.

Thank you all for your reply's. My wife and I are planning on running team. We have no kids a strong work ethic and nothing holding us down. We are even talking about renting a room from her mom for cheaper than having our own place and saving money for our business. my goal is to make us available for as many loads as possible. refer , lift gate. I think our best bet might be those Cascadia's from freight liner to start and get a little more custom in the future. I still got a lot more research before diving right in, but it looks like I have found the right place to read.

I am having trouble finding info about financing, current rates, what it takes to get a business loan these days? Ill keep looking, but if you know of any threads on this topic I could really use it.

Thanks again folks. lots to consider.

Good luck signing it on anywhere. It would seem an excellent choice but for some reason carriers won't look at it.

I asked Landstar about this option, they will indeed take such a vehicle, and simply label it a "D" unit. I was think of converting my 2007 Freightliner before I decided to dump all the "big stuff" and go with the Sprinter.

Another option is a GLIDER KIT, of which I was looking at and those might be a great way to build and spec a solid foundation and then fill in the spec etc...
